Happy New Year from Solo Insurance®

2025We thank you and are grateful for you as we wish you all the best in 2025!

A new year is a time of reflection, celebration and of new beginnings.  As we reflect on over 30 years of business, we are grateful to all our clients, those new or long term and those who return. We’ve all seen a lot of changes in the car insurance market, technology, and in general. One thing remains constant…our dedication to providing answers and finding our clients the best rates we can in the ever-changing car insurance realm.

 PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

Always be careful on the roads (you carry precious people in your vehicles). Especially be careful out there this New Year’s Eve. Articles across the country tell us the same story…NYE is not a safe night to be out on the roads. It is not just alcohol related, some drivers are just tired, some incidents involve animals or are weather-related. Each year seems a bit worse than the next. 2023 is proclaimed to be a deadlier year in car crashes and incidents than 2022. 2024 seems to follow suit. Perhaps 2025 can buck the trend!

From Virginia to Missouri to Oregon, articles these past couple days tell us it's a bit crazy out there:

·         VA-Richmond’s The Virginian Review2 tells us: “New Years Day Ranks Among Deadliest Days on U.S. Roadways” and reports that the “NHTSA3 data

shows December drunk driving deaths are the highest in 15 years, with 1,062 lives lost in drunk driving crashes in December 2022.

·         MO-St Louis’s Fox2Now reports1: “During last year’s New Year’s holiday period, there were nine deaths reported and nearly 300 injuries in over 800 traffic crashes in Missouri alone.”

·         OR-Salem’s SalemREPORTER4 informs: “2024 was the deadliest year in at least a decade on Salem’s roads, with 25 fatal crashes.”

·         The National Safety Council [NSC]5 advises: “New Year’s Day Holiday Period Estimate for 2025…The NSC estimates that 179 people may die on U.S. roads this New Year’s Day holiday period. Holidays traditionally are a time of travel for families across the United States. Many choose car travel, which has the highest fatality rate of any major form of motorized transportation based on fatalities per passenger mile. Holidays are also often cause for celebrations involving alcohol consumption, a major contributing factor to motor-vehicle crashes.”

Sobering news.  So please do not become a sad statistic. Stay safe. You are loved and needed by your dear ones today and every day.

Thank you,

 Solo Insurance®
